	Before you choose your fireplace you need to know whether you have a suitable chimney, Electric fireplaces do not need a chimney however Most other Fireplaces and the fires used within them require a chimney or ventilation of some kind to aide the fire or to vent toxic gases, there are several types of chimney all of which are explained below
	No Chimney. If you home does not have a chimney or a flue, you can still purchase a gas fireplace that only needs a balanced flue or a powered flue , these fireplaces need to be sited on an outside wall, more recently gas fires are being produced that require no flue or chimney - Please contact Marbletech Fireplaces to discuss your requirements Pre-Fabricated Flue Also known as a class 2, Suitable for Gas fireplaces, Electric fireplaces and Gas stoves,  pre-fabricated flues provide a good depth therefore you can select from most full depth gas fires and all slimline gas and electric fires Pre-Cast Flue Found in most modern homes, pre cast flues are suitable for a wide range of slimline gas fires, full depth gas fires can also be used, an additional spacer would be needed. Brick built chimney This is the classic chimney, suitable for full depth fireplaces, slimline gas fires, solid fuel fireplaces and electric fireplaces. the classic chimney would usually also have a chimney breast in side your room, this type of chimney is also known as a class 1	No Chimney
